The Culture of Breaking News in India and its Repercussions on General Public.
Trust in media these days
is rapidly declining among people, as media houses these days tend to favor
their friends and contacts by any means possible. These tactics could either be
false news, propaganda or making absurd claims against an individual or
entity. As in the times of Globalization
and with rapid changes in technology have given sharp rise to the views of vigilantism
and nationalism too which gives rise to a dismay in the population. Due to this
constant propaganda people are getting more distrustful of government,
business, media and non-governmental organizations. Of all the biggest losers
of credibility was the media. As the media firms these days drive towards
breaking news in India.
Due to this people are
diverting towards the internet from the traditional media as purveyors of
truth, the results showed. This is no fact that super-rich elite are able to
control or even govern these media houses remotely or directly. Trust in media
is falling day by day due to the practices of a few corrupt groups but this
tarnishes the image of whole fraternity. At the epicenter is lying this lack of
faith that brings a sense of uneasiness. Last year, a report showcased that the
62 wealthiest people held as much as half of the world’s population and this is
what is alarming. As they are the ones controlling governments, manipulating
media and remotely influencing our choices, perceptions and deceiving us
quietly.
This influencing and hunger for revenue generation through
media and planting fake breaking news in India is not only harming our system
but shattering our democracy too piece by piece. As these forces stand against
the idea of a prospering India, we at NewsroomPost ensure you with true
unbiased news that touches our daily lives. And we believe in providing a light
of hope in these shady times.
